How to open ISO Files ?
Are you having trouble with a file having ISO extension? well it stands for International Organization for Standardization and a file having an extension of such is simply known as an image file or a disc image or call it a virtual disc. This archive (ISO file) contains contents which could be mount on a virtual drive without the overhead of opening it on the hard drive can and be accessed just like a CD/DVD.
First of all lets see how to Mount an ISO image :
we would need a 3rd party software to perform this action, some of the most famous ones are Alcohal 120%,Daemon tools,Power ISO etc.I prefer Alcohol 120% over the others for its clean UI.Sadly this isn’t a free software but however comes with a trail version.Get it from here
Here is a step by step process on how to open an iso file
Step 1
Install the software and select to have a virtual drive installed on the first run(you can do that later as well),restart your pc,open the Alcohal 120%.
Step 2
Right Click on the software window and select Add Images and locate your image file.
Step 3
Right Click on the image file and click Mount on Device, the image file gets mounted and you can view it like a file in CD/DVD drive.
Right Click on the image file and click Mount on Device, the image file gets mounted and you can view it like a file in CD/DVD drive.
After you are done with your task you can simply right click on the Virtual Disk Drive and Unmount the image.
Another method of opening iso files is to extract the ISO archive into you hard disk just like a rar file, this can be done using Winrar or 7ZIP or similar software, however for you to be able to extract using Winrar make sure you select ISO extension in the list of files you want to associate winrar with during installation.
Just select the fie ,open with Winrar/7ZIP ,hit Extract To and select the destination where you want the archived files to be extracted. If you face any trouble ,feel free to comment,we will follow up.
